Visible Sea's oceanr brand is voluntarily committed to the UN to educate the public on marine pollution.

Our commitment

The Visible Seas (at the time of submission: team proudly supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 14, Life Below Water, that encourages governments, companies, and individuals to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources. 

In 2017, the team had set itself a voluntary commitment to make a demonstrable impact to the issue of marine pollution around the world through the development and execution of a two-tier ocean sustainability awareness and education strategy.

Digital outreach

The team leverages their creativity and digital expertise to develop a campaign of engaging, informative, and high-velocity online media to raise global awareness and education of marine pollution issues around the world, the damage that marine pollution can do to the environment and to marine life, and the various steps that businesses and individuals can take to reduce their marine pollution footprint and improve the state of our oceans.


Community engagement

The team seeks out and engages in community partnership opportunities to connect and mobilise networks of people and resources to create a series of more personal and localised ocean awareness and education experiences.


Assessing progress

The effectiveness of the strategy is regularly assessed by monitoring the reach of Visible Seas' ocean awareness and education digital assets and the extent to which audiences and participants engage with the online media and partnership initiatives.

The strategy has been designed with continuous improvement in mind. The reach and engagement metrics will, in turn, inform subsequent content development, distribution, and partnership decisions.
